Power Jet Washing vs Pressure Washing

Power Jet Washing vs Pressure Washing is there a difference? People always tend to just assume they are the same and yes they are very similar, but there are indeed some differences.

Power Jet Washing
Power Washing is a process where dirt and other surface materials are removed. These maybe such materials as mud, mildew, mold and similar materials that stick to hard exterior surfaces. These contaminates are removed from the surface of the exterior areas, such as sidewalks, fences, decks, driveways, patios and pathways by using pressurised water on the surface. Unlike using pressure washing, power jet washing uses heated water, that has been set to a hot temperature.

Using the correct temperature of water for the appropriate exterior surface will break down contaminated materials from your hard surfaces. This makes the job much easier than just using regular water temperature. Power jet washing is done with heavy power washing machinery and you need to be careful to keep yourself safe at all times.

While these power jet washers only shoot out water, they are very powerful jets of water and highly dangerous in an unprofessional persons hands or anybody using it that is not responsible at all times while using the equipment. Although you can do power jet washing yourself, its always best to hire a professional if you are unsure about doing the job correctly to avoid damaging your property.

As power jet washing is done with such force, its recommended that you only used it on hard exterior surfaces.

Pressure Washing
Although there are not any obvious differences between power jet washing and pressure washing, there are slight differences that make them completely different services.

Unlike power jet washing, pressure washing is done using normal water temperature. Pressure washing depends entirely on the force of water rather than the temperature. The force of water from a pressure washer is very high and will blast away the dirt, mold, mildew and other hazardous materials. However, you must be extremely careful when using the pressure washer and never point it at people or animals, even as a joke. The consequences could be very bad.

Again just like power jet washing, pressure washing is done using heavy equipment and if you are not sure about using it call a professional. The force of water is very powerful for power jet washing and pressure washing, so please remember its important to only use this machinery to clean hard exterior surfaces. If they are used on your home, you could risk damage to your home’s siding and your home’s paint work, again use a professional if you are unsure.

NOTES: Best used on sidewalks, fences, decks, driveways, patios and pathways. As these areas need the extra pressure to get rid of the dirt, and the hard surfaces are strong enough to use water force machinery.
